Want to see what a Young Eagles Rally looks like? Here is a
photo gallery
of our most recent regular monthly rally, held in May.
We also have
photos
from a special Boy Scout group we flew in June.
We have photo galleries and reports for all our other rallies held
during 2000 through 2007, all of which can be found on our main
Young Eagles page.
The full rally schedule for year 2008 is available there too.
Next Rally: June 14, 2008
Young Eagles: The Young Eagles program offers free airplane rides
to children between the ages of 8 and 17. Chapter 196 holds Young Eagle
rallies each month usually on the second Saturday between 9 a.m.

Events Of Interest: A list of local events of interest to
chapter members and other pilots is available here. The full list
is on the events page, but here are the next few:
Collings Foundation Living History Weekend:
For several years now we've helped the Collings Foundation with their
annual June open house. This year they decided to add a second event,
a WWII themed living history weekend. As usual, we manned the grills for
both days and it would appear that this weekend brought the biggest crowds
ever. For a look, see the
photo gallery
of the event.
2007 Myricks Fly-In: Our annual chapter fly-in to Myricks
Airport in Berkley was held on Sunday, September 16, 2007. We
arranged for our usual great weather and served up lots of burgers
and hotdogs to the hungry crowds. For a look at this year's fly-in,
see the
photo gallery
of the event.
Meetings: Club meetings are held on the last Monday of each month
year round at 7:00 p.m. somewhere on the airport property,
Minute Man Air Field on Boxboro Road in Stow, MA.

2007 Collings Foundation Open House: We had perfect summer
weather for the annual open house at the Collings Foundation as once
again we provided food for hundreds of people who came to see all the
cars and airplanes.
Home Building: Can a regular guy build his own plane? On our
host site, FlightSim.Com, read the story of how a Vans RV-9 is going
together.
Minute Man Air Field: The chapter's home airport is Minute Man
Air Field (6B6), an all weather public use airport located in Stow, MA.
A picture tour of the airport is available here.
