Young Eagles Rally

On August 5th we had our first Young Eagles Rally of the month. That wasn't enough for us though. Oh no. We went back the next weekend and did it all over again. On the 12th we had Leo taking pictures and saving planes that roll without pilots, Charlie took a turn at teaching kids about grass blades, Mark filling out certificates, and we had two new Young Eagles pilots join us: Elijah Martin-Merrill and Darien Fitzgerald. The pilots each flew:

Nels with 8 (this guy is unstoppable)
Chris with 6 (and a queezy stomach. Lesson learned; watch who you give the controls to)
Jim with 7
Elijah with 4
Darien with 2

For a grand total of 27

Which means that for the month of August, we've flown a grand total of 51 kids. Not bad.

Thanks to all for their help and support. Including Don, Nancy, and Patti for supporting our efforts and directing some of the restaurant patrons out there, while also coming out to check up on us and keep us hydrated.
